I produce skateboards that serve as either art pieces and or functional hard goods, dependent upon viewer interaction and interpretation. Utilizing various media such as spray paint, charcoal, pen and ink, my work depicts the human form while simultaneously exploring and questioning the nature of our identities. I capture the human body and face on a canvas that is meant to be utilized and potentially destroyed, commenting on the fragile and conflicted nature of the human spirit itself. I believe in enhancing the relationships between artist and audience, creator and product. I am interested in the process and result of synthesizing conflicting realms.
